Land owners are so closed minded here !! I think they have the city mentality . We live

in the country. Recently I brought an Executive from a New York TV station . A station

that travels the world trying new foods and wines. She likes to ride horses so I thought

it would be a great idea to show her the new winery on horseback which was just

through a couple orchards. We did not do anything wrong . So we rode down the lane

she got off her horse to go and "buy" a bottle of local wine for dinner not to drink then

. We were greated with a very terrible attitude , and chased off the property. Her husband

is actually going to be running for a seat in the town.

We are not going back to the winery even on foot . And he is not getting my vote.

Send these people back to where they came from with there money. They are not

helping our town do anything.

They could have been featured on a national TV station , but instead slammed the door in our face.

All to familiar

Stories like this make you wonder ? Can we ever come out of the dark ages ?

It would seem the answer is clear .....change is unwelcome !

What a fantastic story that could have been to go back to city and share with friends.

Just an amazing afternoon , with a short trot to the local neighboring winery for a few tastes

of some wine and bottle to bring home along with story an amazing afternoon in the most amazing little town in the country!!

But , Nope that didn't happen , apparently someone didn't get my e-mail about how everyone is an amassador of this town . More than ever we need to be accomodating, and welcoming !!

You actually could have had a nice little tour....... every weekend , 1/2 hr horse back ride through a local orchard

to a beautiful winery for some wine tasting and a nice trot back to the stables , could have played right into what this town wants to be about , yet no one gives any effort to make it work!!
