I think a little dose of common sense is really
what is needed in this town. the Dems should be
less concered with stopping development and growth
in Marlborough. All this time Our neighboring
towns are growing , adding traffic to 9w that
passes through our town. Just over the line in the
town of Newburgh they built hundreds of large
houses ,nearly each one adding school kids to our
district. These towns are where the activism and
environmentalist where needed!!! So here
Marlborough sits effected by all the other towns
around us , with an administration that has
stiffled, studied and chased away any positive
project that has tried to come to this great town.

The fact of the matter is there is great river of
revenue running through our town , New business
and industry along our 9w corridor WILL NOT add
traffic! but it will cull from it pulling dollars
into our town!

A few years ago the Entire country was at the end
of an amazing housing boom. The Hudson Valley's
housing boom was nothing short of spectacular. All
the surrounding counties and town experience
unparalleled growth and expansion in their housing
markets. This was a scary time for some residents
of this sleepy little farming town. Nobody likes
to see farm land chewed up and houses poping up in
every orchard. The fact of the matter is all these
big houses pay some pretty heavy taxes ,school and
town and god knows we have the school facilities
for the kids they brought in now. (maybe alittle
overkill even) These new homes continue to pay
these taxes year after year.

when Al and Cindy Lanzetta started their crusade
with the CIP (citizens inhibiting progress) they
promised to stop this invasion , curtail all this
progress and keep Marlborough the rural farm
comunity. They sure did a good job ! They studied
delayed and detered any project that was looking
to come to Marlborough, Now we have a bad rap as
the place that kills projects , cost developers
tens of thousands of dollars and never lets a
project move foward. So the environmentalist did
there job ! They shut down Marlborough for
business.

People there is no good ole boys club , think
back , ask around, the entire country was in a
huge realestate boom , the Hudson Valley grew
because of our proximitey to New York City and the
9/11 attacks fueled the growth in this area big
time. But the point is the entire country
experienced a realestate boom.
